- Directorate-General
for Education and Culture of the European Commission - This directorate
organize the big European educational programmes including eLearning, as well
as Socrates and Leonardo.
- The elearningeuropa.info portal -
gathers information on the use of multimedia technologies and the Internet for
education, training and lifelong learning in Europe. The portal is open to all
the relevant actors and communities for sharing experiences, disseminating
projects and discussing ideas.
- European Law Students' Association (ELSA) - is
the world's largest independent law students' association. Through its local
and national groups it organizes seminars, conferences, moot courts all across
Europe. But it's real pearl is the "Student Trainee Exchange Program"
(STEP)
- Europe in School - This is a website for EU studies and studies about Europe. It's starting point is the EU parliament's members and parties.
- e-Schoolnet - Resources, news, practical
examples and collaboration opportunities for teachers are gathered at
e-schoolnet, the educational portal for schools in Europe.
- EuroBrussels.com
internships - List of currently open internships in Brussels, the EU
institutions, or international organisations.
- Eurodesk - is a European Network for the
dissemination of European information and for the provision of telephone
enquiry answering services at national or regional level for young people and
those who work with them.
- EUROLEARN - is the topic Umbrella in the
EUREKA network. EUREKA is a European network for market-oriented R&D
projects for industry and research institutes in 33 member countries and the
European Commission. Supported by the various national funding schemes, EUREKA
has a portfolio of more than 1,200 projects, of which about 700 are
ongoing.
- European Training Foundation - The
Foundation's mission is to contribute to the process of vocational education
and training reform that is currently taking place within the EU partner
countries and territories.
- Eurydice - The information network on
education in Europe produces reliable, readily comparable information on
national education systems and policies, also acting as an
observatory.
- IDABC -
is a European Commission driven strategic initiative to support rapid
electronic exchange of information between Member State administrations in
order to improve Community decision-making, facilitate operation of the
internal market and accelerate policy implementation. IDA is improving network
services, tools, security and interoperability, opening IDA to more sectoral
areas and to the EEA and EU applicant countries.
- IRIS - provides a service
to both students and universities involved in Erasmus. Erasmus is an action
under the SOCRATES programme and aims to facilitate and promote student and
teacher exchanges between European higher education institutions
- Euroguidance Denmark - The Division for Guidance / Euroguidance Denmark is currently involved in three EU-funded projects:
PLOTEUS (
an Internet portal providing information about education systems, mobility and learning opportunities in 31 European countries
), Guidenet (a European network project on educational and vocational guidance) and On The Move (an Internet-based guidance tool aimed at young people considering mobility in Europe).
- University Association for Contemporary European
Studies (UACES) - brings together academics involved in researching Europe
with practitioners active in European affairs. It provides a forum for debate
and a clearing house for information about European studies.

- ERASMUS - Focused
on higher education, Erasmus boosts mobility between European countries and
encourages transnational cooperation between universities.
- GRUNDVITG
- improves adult education in the broader sense, foster improvement of the
education possibilities available to people without basic school
qualifications, and encourages innovation in alternative educational
pathways.

LINGUA - Spreading from pre-primary school to adult education, this Action
aims to foster linguistic diversity in Europe, enhancing the quality of
language teaching and improving access for individuals to learning resources.
- MINERVA
- Covering all areas of education, Minerva promotes European cooperation in the
use of Information and Communications Technologies in education, and promotes
Open and Distance Learning.
- OBSERVATION
AND INNOVATION - An action improving the exchange of information and
experience in the field of education between the countries participating in
Socrates.
- LEONARDO DA VINCI
- Focused on Vocational Training, the Leonardo Programme attempts to improve
the skills and competence of people to improve the quality of, and access to,
vocational training and the life-long learning possibilities.

for telecommunications networks, this programme supports the market validation
and initial implementation of services such as training, employment and
application services for culture.
- Information Society Technologies (IST) - A
key thematic priority area of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), IST aims to
contribute to European policies for the knowledge society and the eEurope
Action Plan.
- Research,
Development and Showcasting Actions - The Sixth Framework Programme (FP6)
is the EU main instrument for the funding of research in Europe. Seven key
areas have been chosen, among them, Information Society Technologies.
