 Xavier Oberson (Swiss), Professor of Swiss and
international tax law, University of Geneva
Xavier
Oberson is professor of Swiss and international tax law at the University of
Geneva. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Geneva and completed the
International Tax Program at Harvard Law School where he also obtained an LL.M.
His main research interests are Swiss and international fiscal law, as well as
administrative litigations. He published several books and articles in these
subjects. Worth mentioning are the books "Droit fiscal suisse",
Bâle 1998 (Helbing & Lichtenhahn) and "Switzerland in
international tax law", Amsterdam 2nd edition (IBFD) 2001 (co-author Howard
R. Hull). Professor Oberson is partner in a Geneva based law firm specifying in
tax matters and member of various commissions of experts, associations or
foundations in fiscal law as for example the Permanent Scientific Committee of
the International Fiscal Association (IFA). |
